Psychoanalytic
Praxis
I work both online and in person at my private practice in Zurich, Switzerland. My therapeutic practice is primarily based on an approach consistent with analytical psychology, which views the psyche as a living organism capable of self-regulation.
To ensure the quality of the therapeutic processes I conduct, I engage in regular supervision, both individual and group. I also undergo my own analysis.
1
What is analytical psychology?
Analytical psychology is a therapeutic process that utilizes theories and methods developed by the Swiss psychiatrist, Dr. Carl Gustav Jung. This approach understands the psyche as a constantly evolving and purposeful, self-directed guide in the individuation process. Individuation refers to the attainment of a greater degree of consciousness regarding the totality of one's psychological, interpersonal, and cultural experiences. Therefore, Jungian analysis or counseling investigates the conscious and unconscious aspects of the psyche to remove or alleviate troubling symptoms or feelings of being stuck, facilitating a transition to a healthier and more fulfilling life.
2
Psychoanalytic counselling- for whom?
The analytical approach is designed for individuals seeking deeper insights and experiencing more serious difficulties. If you are someone who has been grappling with long-term feelings of helplessness and sadness, a lack of a sense of agency, chronic anxiety, excessive worry about the future, unexplained somatic symptoms, a feeling of being on the edge or feeling stuck, psychoanalytic counseling can be beneficial. In my practice, I also provide treatment for individuals dealing with suicidal thoughts, early childhood trauma, physical and mental violence, personality disorders, eating disorders, as well as those facing midlife crises and difficulties related to emigration.
3
How is Jungian analysis different from counselling?
A distinction between analysis and counseling can be made based on the intensity, depth, and frequency of the sessions. Often, treatment begins with counseling, which is more oriented toward problem-solving and symptom relief, and gradually transitions into analysis, which aims to follow the natural emergence of the self. In both cases, the analyst's task is to create the right conditions that will facilitate contact with the healing tendencies of the psyche.

First consultation.
Before we begin our therapeutic work, we will have an initial consultation. This meeting is intended for us to get to know each other and for you to share the difficulties you are currently experiencing. Together, we will attempt to identify the problem(s) and establish the extent of assistance I can provide. Additionally, we will discuss the logistical aspects of the process, including the session duration, frequency, policies for canceling or rescheduling appointments, methods of contact between sessions, and the payment amount and methods for the sessions.

A life truly lived constantly burns away veils of illusion, burns away what is no longer relevant, gradually reveals our essence, until, at last, we are strong enough to stand in our naked truth.
